$RUT - Timing an Exit

I have been in this position several times before, where I am up in a trade and looking at the charts everything appears to be in my favor, but I end up losing hard and fast.

Managing the needs vs. the wants has been such a big problem for me, since I want the option to continue growing, but I need the profits that I have already made.

It is a tough dilemma and one I have to train myself to be better at. Even though I want the option to keep growing I have to consider what I have accomplished and exit the trade, in order to see a profit and trade another day.
